Principal Platform Engineer

About The Position

FundGuard is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to lead the design and implementation of our core platform infrastructure. This role will play a critical part in shaping the technology stack and architecture of our cutting-edge financial services platform.
Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable and reliable platform infrastructure to support our financial services applications
• Lead a team of engineers to deliver high-quality code and maintain best practices in software development
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the platform
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our platform

Requirements:

• 7+ years of relevant work experience with big-data technologies, such as Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Redis, Hadoop, MongoDB.
• Experience in OOP (Java / Python / C#).
• Experience with large, distributed information systems, building, and scaling data pipelines
• Strong passion for details and tackling complex tasks.
• Team player, fast learner and has a “get things done” attitude.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
• Computer science degree from a leading university and/or technological intelligence units graduate

Nice to have skills:

• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Experience working with Spring Framework
• Financial understanding
• Experience working with Dockers
• Operational, systems, and networking knowledge
