Yuval Shachar
Executive Chairman & Managing Partner
Yuval Shachar is the Executive Chairman and Managing Partner at Team8 and a serial entrepreneur.
He is an experienced investor who provides strategic business leadership and guidance to the fund and its portfolio companies, and serves as a board member to a large number of businesses.
Yuval was previously Co-founder and General Partner of Marker LLC, a venture capital firm based out of New York and Israel, and Eric Schmidt’s investment partner at Innovation Endeavors. In these roles, he led numerous early-stage investments in tech companies. He co-founded P-Cube and served as its CEO until its acquisition by Cisco, then served as a General Manager of one of Cisco’s business units. He also co-founded Pentacom (acquired by Cisco) and Qwilt. Yuval created one of the first internet appliances, leading the creation of InfoGear (also acquired by Cisco). Earlier in his career, he served as VP R&D at VocalTec where he developed the first VoIP solutions (a NASDAQ IPO), and as a software developer and manager at National Semiconductors and Motorola.
Yuval holds a variety of US patents for designs that defined modern telecommunications standards.
He has a BSc in Math and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.
