Praveen was most recently Managing Partner at the Softbank Vision Fund where he lead the Enterprise and SaaS investment practice. His investments include Automation Anywhere and the Team8 Startup foundry where he currently serves as board advisor. He is passionate about mentoring and investing in entrepreneurs who are building great product companies in the areas of Automation, Cyber Security, Enterprise Software and SaaS.
Previously Praveen served as the CEO at Viptela, Inc. a SaaS platform that redefined Enterprise Edge Computing and its economics. He successfully grew the startup to $100m in run rate revenues leading up to an acquisition by Cisco Systems, Inc. Praveen has also served as the CEO at VCE, a pioneering Enterprise Cloud infrastructure company that created a new market category disrupting the Data Center/Private Cloud market segment. During his tenure, VCE grew to becoming one of the fastest companies to achieve US$1bn in revenues. Praveen started his career at Cisco leading product teams that developed some of Cisco’s flagship multi-billion dollar platforms that delivered growth and market share leadership. As General Manager he was responsible for Cisco’s Enterprise and Telecom Infrastructure Technology Groups. Praveen holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School.
