Ori Yankelev will be joining Team8 as Operating Partner and Platform CRO. In this new role he will support Team8 Foundry and Portfolio companies in a variety of sales activities and initiatives as well as managed Team8’s business development efforts.
Prior to joining Team8 Ori was the CRO and founding team member at Own (formerly know as OwnBackup). Under his leadership, Own grew ARR over 100% year over year for 6 consecutive years to over $170m ARR and over 800 employees by the end of his tenure as CRO. Ori led a variety of functions including Sales, Customer Success, Sales Development, Operations and Alliances with an organization of 400 people.
Prior to Own, Ori worked at Boston Based VC firm OpenView Partners supporting OpenView portfolio companies in a variety of go-to-market Initiatives. During this time he spent almost 2 years dedicated to Intronis, an OpenView Portfolio company that was later acquired by Barracuda Networks.
Ori holds Bachelors in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
