About The Position

Wisor.ai, an early stage and well funded startup, is now looking for a VP R&D to lead a dynamic R&D team.

Wisor.ai is the future of Supply Chain Management! Revolutionizing supply chain management by empowering and automating the entire logistics journey for freight forwarders and their customers. With Wisor.ai comprehensive operational digital platform, all logistics needs are seamlessly integrated into one solution, including route planning, booking, payments, and tracking etc.

Our stack is built on AWS serverless infrastructure, serving as the backbone for both the frontend and the backend. On the FE side, we use Next.js, React, JavaScript and on the Backend side we use Python, MongoDB, PostgreSQL and GraphDB.

Are you up for the challenge? As a VP R&D you will…

• Mentor, coach and retain key talents through effective mentorship, coaching and succession planning
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and research methodologies relevant to the organization’s field of operation.
• End-to-End responsibility for the company’s R&D team’s performance and deliverables (R&D made of Frontend team, Backend team and OA)
• Define R&D team strategy and methodologies, optimizing the work process and efficiency, with direct responsibility for R&D objectives and KPIs.
• Develop and design server side architectures working alongside Product, CS and Sales team. 
• Connect the dots between technology and business and be responsible for executing both long and short-term delivery, emphasizing rapid iteration, quick time-to-market, and cross-functional collaboration to improve outcomes, processes, and user feedback continuously.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Group Manager/Director of R&D/ VP R&D in a growing startup company
• Experience delivering complex, large-scale B2B products
• Deep understanding of R&D built for enterprise SaaS offering
• Full stack development experience – advantage to Python and React
• Deep understanding of AWS – Architecture, Construction, and Operation of Infrastructure.. 
• A “can do” mentality and mindset, and a “hands on” approach
• Strong Communication skills and interpersonal skills to work well with relevant interfaces
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to navigate and thrive in an early-stage startup environment.
