The best products don’t just get adopted, they become habits. As investors, the strongest signal we look for is when users can’t imagine working without a product. C8 Health has built exactly that: a product physicians love, use daily, and recommend to their colleagues.
Physicians love C8 because it solves a daily, critical challenge: accessing the most up-to-date guidelines and best practices precisely when they need them - to make real-time, informed decisions at the point of care.
While medical guidelines and best practices exist in every health system, they’re buried in outdated PDFs, siloed IT systems, or scattered across email threads. This disconnect between up-to-date information and real-time clinical decision making is one of the industry’s most overlooked bottlenecks. Simply put, when medical knowledge is hard to access, it becomes difficult for healthcare providers to consistently deliver best-practice care. This not only disrupts physicians’ workflows, contributing to burnout and cognitive overload, but can also compromise care quality, leading to preventable complications with serious health and financial consequences. C8 Health is directly addressing this challenge by revolutionizing how clinical best practices are delivered and applied at the point of care - already having a real positive impact across the health systems that have implemented the solution.
This is why we’re excited to announce that Team8 is leading C8 Health’s $12M Series A round, joined by existing investors 10D and Vertex Ventures. Together, we’re backing a team and a product redefining how healthcare systems implement best practices at scale.
A New Approach: Real-time Best Practices Implementation
C8 is more than a medical guideline repository. It’s the first platform that enables site-specific, role-based real-time implementation of best practices at the point of care. Clinicians can access guidance tailored to their specific case, department, and hospital policies, whether they’re on mobile, desktop, or inside the EMR. An AI assistant surfaces vetted answers in seconds, replacing the need to manually search through lengthy documents.
Importantly, C8 integrates both clinical and operational knowledge - like clinicians’ schedule, who’s on shift with them, where a procedure is scheduled, or protocols are in effect. That’s what makes it so powerful: it closes the loop between what should be done and how to do it.
Built by Those Who’ve Lived the Pain
What drew us in was the clarity of the problem, as well as the founders' deep understanding of it. Galia Rosen Schwarz, C8’s co-founder and CEO, is a seasoned business leader with a deep track record in digital health and go-to-market. Her background spans biotech, enterprise software, and commercialization. She holds a PhD in strategy, an MBA, and a BSc in biotech engineering, an unusual and powerful combination of scientific, strategic, and operational capability.
Dr. Ido Zamberg, C8’s co-founder and Chief Medical Officer, experienced this pain firsthand as an anesthesiologist. When he couldn’t access critical guidelines easily, he built a software tool for his department (he’s both a doctor and a software engineer by training). That internal solution eventually expanded hospital-wide and later served as the basis for C8’s product. Ido brings a rare combination of medical and technical expertise, having also served as a Mamram-trained developer, and as an anesthesiologist at Geneva University Hospitals and McGill University Health Center in Montreal.
Tzach Klo, C8’s third co-founder, is an experienced software engineer that led development teams in high growth companies.
Beyond the founders, C8’s leadership team reflects a bench of high performers from some of the most respected names in digital health. It’s a team that knows how to build and scale sophisticated products in complex, high-stakes environments.
Together, they’ve built a product clinicians actually use several times a day, and they’ve done it with speed, humility, and deep respect for the tried-and-tested workflows of care delivery.
Clinician-Loved, Hospital-Tested
The traction speaks for itself. C8 is already deployed across more than 100 hospitals, reaching clinician adoption rates of over 90% within 6 months of deployment. Notably, much of this early traction has come from leading U.S.-based academic hospital systems, institutions renowned for their rigorous standards, complex workflows, and high bar for innovation. These are some of the most demanding clinical environments, and the fact that C8 is being embraced here is a powerful endorsement of both the product and the team.
Teams that implemented it reported 4–5X improvements in knowledge access and staff satisfaction. And perhaps most compelling: clinicians are evangelizing it across departments. We heard stories of residents pulling up C8 during rounds, surgeons referencing it mid-procedure, and administrators replacing legacy systems entirely.
C8 also succeeded where many tools have failed, making mobile work at the point of care. In a space where mobile adoption is notoriously difficult, in one customer's case, 92% of clinicians used smartphones to access the platform in daily practice. That’s a testament to the product’s design, accessibility, and clinical relevance.
This kind of engagement is rare in healthcare software, especially in such a short timeframe. It's a strong signal of product-market fit and cultural resonance, both essential for long-term success.
We’re proud to lead C8’s Series A and support them in building a future where hospitals are empowered to deliver the best possible standard of care in every procedure, for every patient. We strongly believe that C8 Health will play a pivotal role in shaping a better future for both physicians and their patients.
