Ilai is Co-Founder and VP of R&D at Act Security. Early in his career he co-founded and served as CTO of a startup, building its product from the ground up. He later joined IntSights as Chief Software Architect, helping scale the threat-intelligence platform behind its $335 million acquisition by Rapid7. He then joined Velocity as a founding engineer and rose to VP of Engineering, building a Kubernetes-based development platform and helping secure the company’s $17 million Series A. Most recently, he was VP of Engineering at PointFive, leading its cloud cost-optimization engineering. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.
