Asaf joins Team8 Capital after multiple managerial positions at hyper-growth startup companies.
Most recently, Asaf led the onboarding of financial partners at Pagaya, a leading fintech company providing AI-powered credit analysis capabilities. In this position, Asaf worked with banks, fintech, lenders, and credit card issuers to help them grow their business by connecting to Pagaya’s network and utilizing its credit analysis technology. Before Pagaya, he held multiple roles at Via, the TransitTech startup, where he worked with cities, governments, and private corporations to launch and scale technology-enabled smart transportation services globally.
Asaf spent 5 years in New York City during which he graduated from Columbia Business School with an MBA and worked in strategy consulting. As a consultant, Asaf worked with Fortune-500 technology, telecom, and media companies on various corporate and business strategy engagements.
Asaf has an LLB in Law and Political Science from Tel Aviv University, and before moving to the US he worked as a litigation attorney at Goldfarb, Seligman & Co., a leading Israeli law firm.
Asaf began his career as an on-air journalist, serving as a broadcaster in the IDF’s radio station (Galey Tzahal and Galgalatz) and continuing to an on-air news broadcaster position at Channel 10 News, one of Israel’s national television networks.
