This web page will enable you to make an electronic application to Team8 Labs Ltd. (“Team8” “we” or “us”) Start-up pitch competition (“Competition”).
The Competition is an opportunity for you to present your start-up ideas to a panel of experienced judges, gain exposure, and compete for one flight ticket to New York for Team8’s fintech village event. The amount of winners in the Competition will be determined by Team8 at its sole discretion and will be published in the guidelines. Whether you are at the idea stage or already working on your venture, this event allows you to showcase your vision, connect with potential investors, and take your business to the next level. Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before participating.
Your submission to participate in the Competition should comply with the guidelines outlined at: [please insert link] (“Guidelines”) and these terms (together with any other communication you send us, “Submission”). Incomplete or late submissions may be disqualified at the discretion of Team8. By submitting your Submission, you confirm that all information provided is true and accurate.
Please note that all information provided by the person submitting the nomination, including the Submission, are on a non-confidential basis, and may be sent by Team8 Labs Ltd. to third parties, including without limitation Team8’s third party partners in this Competition, consultants and employees and the Competition’s judging committee which may consists of external and independent experts. You hereby agree and acknowledge that Team8 partners in the Competition may contact you before, during or after the Competition and offer you their services.
You will remain the exclusive owner of all right, title, and interest (including without limitation all intellectual property rights) in and to the Submission. No ownership right is conveyed to us. Similarly, if we provide any information to you, we will remain the sole owners or licensors of that information. You represent to us that you are the sole owner of the Submission, and that you have the full right to represent all the members of your group (“Group Members”) who contributed to the Submission. You further represent that the Submission contains no confidential information or material owned by any third party, and that you do not need to obtain the consent of any other person or entity in order to send us the Submission. By registering for the Competition, you hereby agree on your behalf and on behalf of your Group Members, to the collection and use of their personal information for the purpose of administering the Competition.
You hereby grant to us a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, unrestricted, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, make available, display, perform and modify the Submission. You understand that we may use the Submission whether or not you, are the winner of the Competition.
You waive and agree never to assert any moral rights that you may have in the Submission, including without limitation any rights to attribution or limitation on subsequent modification. You agree that we will not be bound by any restrictive legends on the Submission.
You agree that if you are a nominee in the Competition, given you provided your consent to these terms, Team8 and its affiliates may use your photograph and biographical information, as well as those of other Group Members, for publicity and promotional purposes.
The judging committee for the Competition consists of external and independent experts who are recognized leaders in their field. They will evaluate each Submission based on the relevance and clarity of the information provided, as well as the overall strength of the nominee’s pitch, idea, qualifications and experience. The selection process will be audited by a third-party auditor to ensure fairness and transparency.
You represent that you are of legal age and competent to enter these terms, or that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed these terms and clicked on the “I accept” button below. These terms, the Guidelines and any other published rules constitute our entire understanding with respect to the Submission, and may be changed by us from time to time with notice on our website: [add link]. If you continue with the Submission and the participation in the Competition after any changes in these terms, you will be bound by those changes.
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us, our employees and agents harmless from any claims that the Submission infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
Team8 is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury incurred by you or any Group Member during the Competition. You and your Group Members agree to release and hold harmless Team8 organizer from any claims or liabilities arising from your and their participation in the Competition.
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Any dispute or controversy in connection with these terms or the Competition shall be subject to the exclusive venue and jurisdiction of the courts of Tel Aviv, Israel.
Team8 reserves the right to cancel, modify, or reschedule the Competition at any time for any reasons including but not limited to insufficient participation, natural disasters, or unforeseen circumstances. You will be notified of any significant changes to the Competition schedule or format.
By clicking the “I accept” button, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree that you, the third party you submitted to the Competition and all Group Members are bound by its terms, and that such acceptance will be the equivalent of a signature on these terms. You also represent that you are authorized to execute these terms for the legal entity and any third party you submitted to the Competition on whose behalf you are accepting these terms, and on behalf of all other Group Members. You also agree that we can email you information relating to the Competition.
