As a one-stop-shop for freight forwarders, Wisor offers an AI-based pricing optimization and shipment automation web platform designed to eliminate inefficiencies regarding freight pricing, placement, and shipping in general. 

We are an early stage and well funded startup, and now looking for a very hands-on VP Sales & Business Development to join the team. 

The VP Sales & Business development executive will be responsible for driving business growth for the company. He/ She will develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities for collaborations and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income. He or She will be responsible for the development and management of the sales pipeline.

One of the major responsibilities for VP Sales &f BD is developing and executing company sales and marketing plans, including implementing new ideas and tools for the company. He/ She will provide direction and planning for the company and will work closely with the CEO, a team of salespeople, Product and even R&D team.

The wide range of responsibilities will include the following:

  • Boost Sales processes end to end – through warm and cold reach outs in order to expand Wisor’s client base. 
  • Build and mentor a Sales team – Developing sales plans for specific products or services to increase market share
  • Secure contracts with new customers, as well as manage ongoing relationships and contracts with existing clients while identifying their specific needs.
  • Business development work in order to introduce Wisor’s product to relevant companies which can benefit from it
  • Researching new markets and industries that may be profitable for the company
  • Leading strategic partnerships deals to promote Wisor’s product and increase revenues. 
  • Negotiating contracts with vendors, suppliers, distributors, or other business partners
  • Developing marketing strategies and plans to increase brand awareness, Profit, improve current customer satisfaction and revenues (Participate in global conferences etc..). 
  • Developing strategies for acquiring new customers and increasing customer loyalty
  • Build a strategic plan to ensure business growth for the next year – including budgets for new ventures or existing departments
  • Developing sales plans for specific products or services to increase market share
  • Recommending changes to policies or procedures based on research findings
  • Establishing relationships with key contacts in the industry to build trust and ensure successful outcomes. Relationships with shipping companies, Air freight platforms, Trucking companies, Providers and suppliers, Rail companies and Pricing and booking aggregators. 
  • Work closely with internal Product and R&D teams, advise and give an added value from a business precpetive in order to ensure successful outcomes for our customers. 

  • Fast learner, Proactive and Independent, ability to take ownership on Sales and BD processes from A-Z. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • 8-10 years’ work experience in international business development, sales operations and analytics, business intelligence, and strategy particularly in a technology company.
  • Candidates are expected to have an instinctive understanding of client needs, and deep comfort in operating in different cultures and business settings.
  • Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, ability to solve complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational).
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and management.
  • Exceptional analytical and systems-level problem solving skills.
  • Experience in leading marketing strategies and budgets
  • Comfortable with pricing, quoting and cost validation.
  • Excellent communication skills, we rely on establishing strong bonds and credentials internally and externally
  • High level of English – Must (meaningful participation at global conferences is required) 
  • Background working w/ Freight forwarding companies is a huge advantage and highly desired.
