We are hiring an exceptional business development leader who will collaborate with a broad range of corporate executives and technologists to navigate the innovation ecosystem. In this role, you will provide curated access to Team8’s portfolio companies and promote the right partnerships to accelerate revenue, support ideation, product roadmaps and direction, and have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and success of Team8 and its portfolio companies.

You will report to a Team8 co-founder and managing partner responsible for the firm’s platform, including marketing, business development, strategy, HR, and finance.


  • Counsel: to provide advice and guidance to Team8 portfolio companies on their go-to-market sales strategies and capabilities.
  • Cover: to segment, target, and develop a network of deep corporate relationships with C-level executives (CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CISOs, CEO, and Board Members) in Global 2000 enterprises. Identify potential partners & strategic alliances; foster and grow the business relationships with Team8’s global partner base and strategic investors (Walmart, MunichRe, Airbus, Microsoft, Moody’s Cisco, and Barclays among others).
  • Connect: introduce and connect Team8 portfolio companies with our global community (Team8 Village).
  • Build Team8 Executive Briefing Center (EBC) around the globe (TLV, NYC, and in the future in SF and LON); build and manage the BD team to support the group and multiple business lines.
  • Capture, track and analyze all business development activities within the CRM system; 
  • Collect business and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with other functional groups within Team8, including Managing Partners, Research, and Marketing.

  • 15+ years of sales and business development management experience in a global start-up or a VC or PE firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to form and maintain relationships at the highest levels across multiple domains, functional areas, and business lines.
  • Strong track record in both direct and channel sales/partnership development with experience in developing successful business relationships and channel ecosystems.
  • A demonstrated track record of working with early-stage startups through product-market fit.
  • Experience in defining and optimizing sales processes and procedures for onboarding, pipeline management, forecasting, sales operations, and account management.
  • Strong and demonstrated ability to negotiate and close major corporate deals, support fundraising efforts of strategic investors — defining the business value add, manage and negotiate the terms, as well as identify and outline the required strategy.
  • Must have exceptional listening, communication, and presentation skills with a track record of selling to senior management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, relationship building, sales, negotiating, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to digest large volumes of information and synthesize critical takeaways.
  • Strong management skills and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Superior critical thinking and understanding of strategic frameworks and concepts.
  • Team player and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative, but also process and detail-oriented.
  • Experience managing people and budgets.
