About The Position

Team8 is hiring an exceptional VP Marketing to lead its overall marketing strategy and execution, overseeing corporate communications, worldwide brand awareness and thought leadership through content, events, digital, PR and more.

Team8’s VP Marketing will lead a small marketing team and will work closely with Team8’s leadership as well as founders of Team8 portfolio companies and their marketing teams in mutual marketing initiatives in support of their growth. She/he will also work closely with Team8’s ideators and research group, the engine behind our thought leadership program, as well as with our business development team, in building the Team8 “Village” of enterprise c-level executives and thought leaders in technology and academia from around the world.

Team8’s domains of focus include enterprise technology, data, cybersecurity, fintech and might expand to additional domains.  

The target audience for Team8’s marketing activities under your leadership will include (1) entrepreneurs and the startups ecosystem, contributing to investment deal flow and positioning Team8 as the ultimate partner for the best entrepreneurs; (2) c-level executives (CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CISOs, and even CEO and Board Members) in Global 2000 enterprises in the US and Europe, prospect customers of our portfolio companies and design partners to newly built Team8 companies; and (3) Israeli R&D talent, potential employees of Team8 companies, attracting them to join our family and highlighting our advantages to them.    

Success in this role is building a strong marketing engine that defines and further positions the brand of Team8 and our portfolio through awareness and demand generation tactics including in part: content & thought leadership, PR, events, and social.

We are looking for an individual who is a leader and thrives in a fast-paced work environment, who is smart and is able to learn new topics quickly, with the ability to execute multiple complex projects at once. 

This individual should have a successful track record of establishing and leading the marketing function in a startup or VC organization, bringing significant expertise in building a strong brand, and establishing a thought leadership program that drives impactful results. Content is key and the VP Marketing should leverage her/his team and external vendors, as well as work hands on in writing and content development, and then promote it’s distribution across various channels. You will own corporate communications and work with PR firms in the US and Israel, prepare Team8 partners for speaking engagements worldwide, initiate and produce Team8 events and oversee our digital presence. 

This role requires a mother-tongue level of English.

Key responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for defining and executing on an annual marketing plan, strategy, KPIs and team.
  • Building a brand. Support the narrative of the Team8 brand to a global audience of C-level executives, investors, entrepreneurs, and talents. Leading its messaging and brand strategy, owning copy for communications, brochures, website, email communication, press releases, digital presence etc.
  • Driving thought leadership and content creation. Contribute original thinking to content by researching trends, insights and developments in cyber, data and AI, fintech and the impact of new technology on the enterprise. Oversee the development, creation, and delivery of all marketing materials including Team8 presentations and blog content, inspired by conversations and brainstorming with the smartest people across Team8 and our companies. All content will align with Team8’s global vision and expertise but tailored to different audiences (Corporate Executives, Investors, Entrepreneurs, Talent). You will also drive thought leadership partnerships. Team8 works with various content and thought leadership partners with whom we co-author content. These span from organizations such as McKinsey and World Economic Forum to former government officials and more.  
  • Overseeing Team8’s Rethink event series around the world (NYC, SF, TLV, UK, …). Owning our events production and program development, ranging from intimate to 1,000+ attendees and gathering C-level executives from the world’s leading companies. Working with partners and sponsors. 
  • Supporting Team8’s foundry and capital companies in the definition and crispening of their market positioning and messaging as well as the creation of their initial marketing assets. Advising in effective marketing strategies and processes and leveraging the Team8 platform assets to drive further success towards our companies.
  • Collaborate with our Business Development team in marketing initiatives with the goal of market development (creating access to new enterprises or strengthening relationships with existing enterprises). Making sure the relevant initiatives (events, speaking engagements, etc.) are aligned with business development goals and tracking them.
  • Managing internal and external corporate communications and in particular PR. Drive PR strategy and plan, working closely with PR firms in the US and Israel. Engage in announcements and press releases as well as initiate interviews and prepare Team8 partners and employees for them. Initiate contributed articles for top tier media in collaboration with Team8 partners, our research group, portfolio companies and villagers in our network. 
  • Owning and growing Team8’s digital presence, across our website, social media profiles, blog, newsletter and more.
  • 10+ years of marketing experience and previous working experience as a Marketing Director, VP, CMO for 5 years in a global High-Tech, start-up company or a VC firm.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial fast-paced work environment.
  • Exceptionally strong writing and passion for copy-editing. 
  • Proven familiarity with content management tools and producing content for the web with channel-specific knowledge (blog, website, social media, content sharing communities)
  • Proven success building thought leadership programs

  • Online marketing skills: Hubspot, Google Analytics, Google Keywords, LinkedIn, FB, Twitter etc
  • Managing people + budgets 


  • Past experience working with Israeli fast-pace technology organizations.
  • Domain expertise in data, cybersecurity, enterprise technology, and/or fintech.
