About The Position

Team8 is hiring an exceptional Market Research and Ideation Analyst to its team in Tel-Aviv. 

In this role, you will support the team’s core activities including company creation, ideation and validation processes, business development, community development, and retention, and thought leadership initiatives. This function is an integral part of our ambitious effort to tackle big opportunities, create category-leading companies, and dramatically increase their chances of success. 


You will be responsible for anything research and data-oriented: gathering and analyzing information on companies, industries, and technologies; forming analysis of competitive landscapes as well as customer and partner segments; identifying and monitoring market trends, and preparing reports, white papers, articles, blog posts, speaking engagements material, strategic meeting preps material and more. This is a hands-on position.   


We are looking for someone who is autodidact, curious, and hard-working, comfortable with numbers with previous experience in market research and analysis. A team player who is also independent, process-driven, extremely organized and detail-oriented, capable of digesting massive amounts of information into clear and well-articulated conclusions.


In this role, you will have a key part in creating and managing processes, projects, and initiatives, working closely with the vehicle’s domain experts, the broader platform team as well as with the founders of our portfolio companies.

  • Lead our market research to support our ideation process and thesis development, engagement with our investors and our portfolio companies.
  • Conduct research and analysis across various emerging business, product, and technology trends resulting in reports or presentations. 
  • Develop research and points of view in support of building the firm’s thought leadership and community building initiatives including reports, events, speaking engagements, white papers, and blog posts
  • Make recommendations for go-to-market strategies, partnership opportunities, and business model definition by distilling competitive analysis, customer segmentation and scenario generation
  • Support preparation for strategic client and investor engagements

  • 5+ years of experience in market research or business analysis  
  • Analytical, tech-savvy and works well with numbers, spreadsheets and reporting tools 
  • Native English (spoken and written), feel comfortable writing docs and presentations in English
  • Prior experience working in investment banking, strategic consulting, venture capital, or market research firms
  • Comfortable jumping from one topic to another, able to go wide or deep depending on the task
  • Proven ability to distill the essence of the research and articulate well the conclusions in a short and accurate manner 
  • Team player with a collaborative approach
