About FundGuard: FundGuard is a next-generation SaaS platform for investment management and administration that is powered by AI. FundGuard helps asset managers and fund administrators to manage mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, insurance products, and pension funds, supporting digital transformation, operations automation, AI-based insights, resiliency, and migration to the cloud. FundGuard just completed its Series A raise and is backed by venture firms Blumberg Capital, LionBird Ventures, and Team8 among others, as well as Bank of New York Mellon, JPMorgan and State Street former operating committees members Heidi Miller, Jack Klinck, and Jay Mandelbaum.

The opportunity: 

FundGuard is seeking a Head of Marketing with an exceptional track record of leading company positioning and strategy focused on software products for asset managers and global custodians.  

He/ She will be the first marketing hire and a crucial member of the executive leadership team working alongside the CEO, product, and sales team. 

This hands-on leadership role will create, shape, and be responsible for all aspects of FundGuard’s marketing including branding, marketing positioning, demand generation, product marketing, content creation, creative, digital, and events. Success will be measured by the success of the pipeline and engagement with key audiences.

This is a unique opportunity to be the first marketing hire and shape the positioning of a leading team in an exponentially emerging market. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the branding of the company, product positioning, value proposition, and go-to-market strategy for FundGuard across the globe
  • Oversee all lead and demand generation processes – from webinars and trade shows to social media and SEM
  • Work with freelancers and internal team to architect the content strategy that will extend our thought leadership position in the marketplace
  • Own and develop a public and analyst relations strategy 
  • Partner with Sales and Product leadership and team to test and iterate on go-to-market messaging and content development
  • Bring a data-driven approach to all marketing efforts, modeling, and forecasting ROI, analyzing funnel metrics, conducting A/B tests to refine and enhance messaging in order to achieve KPIs
  • Align with the FundGuard leadership team on strategy, annual budgets, and plans, and tightly align Marketing’s plan and impact
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing management or leadership role, preferably at a startup or similar fast-paced environment
  • Investment management technology experience required
  • Experience in all current marketing technology and tools; ability to extract meaningful data from Google Analytics, Hubspot, other CRM, and Social Media channels to interpret results and implement the learnings
  • Entrepreneurial with the ability to maximize ROI, regardless of the size of the budget
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter attitude combined with strong collaboration skills
  • BS/BA required
