Recently, Sygnia decided to expand its footprint in Japan through engagements with existing and new clients, including signing a strategic partnership agreement with LAC, and starting the process to hire our first Tokyo-based employee.

Sygnia is now looking for a Cyber Security Services Manager to lead the professional relationship with our partners and clients in Japan throughout the full engagement lifecycle, from project initiation and planning, throughout the ongoing day-to-day management of the consulting team, through to project completion. The successful candidate will have a unique combination of passion for cyber security and incident response, proven experience in project management, and a business-driven approach.  

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for the interface between Sygnia and its partners in Japan during the pre-sales process, throughout engagements, and for business development activities. 

• Lead Incident Response engagements for clients in Japan, and international subsidiaries of Japanese companies.

• Be part of a of top-tier team of cybersecurity consultants. committing to professional, cutting-edge services to ensure clients’ cyber resilience. 

• Oversee the timely and successful delivery of our global services, in alignment with defined objectives, clients’ needs, and project scope.

• Lead and present status updates to clients and develop reports and briefings for a variety of audience – including technical teams, CISOs, CIOs/CTOs, and executive management. 

• Support building long-term relationships with clients, promoting client retention and continuous satisfaction.  

• Participate in business development and pre-sales activities, oversee project profitability and team utilization, and contribute to internal capability-building efforts, methodologies development, and strategic discussions. 

Requirements:

• B.A/B.Sc. degree in a relevant field. M.A/M.Sc. degree – an advantage.

• Substantial knowledge of cyber security; mainly incident response, risk management, and threat intelligence.

• Multi-cultural attitude, including the ability to collaborate with a diverse, global team. 

• Ability to communicate effectively both in Japanese and English, including effective presentation skills for both technical and business topics.

• Exceptional analytical capabilities, with high proficiency in strategic and abstract thinking, as well as an understanding of and attention to technical details.

• Resourceful, creative and proactive leader, capable of delivering and managing multiple projects under circumstances of uncertainty and complexity.

• Previous experience in consulting, project management, account management, enterprise security and incident response – a significant advantage.

• Information security certification from industry-leading organizations (e.g., CISSP, CISM, C-CISO, GSTRT) – an advantage.

• The position may require up to 10% travel.
