About Classiq: Founded in 2020, Classiq is a well-funded startup that is shaping the future of quantum computing software. 

In the last few years, many leading enterprises (in finance, pharma, automotive, energy, etc.) are trying to develop game-changing algorithms for quantum computers. However, as the quantum software stack is new quantum software development is almost impossible.


Classiq provides quantum software developers with a simple and efficient way to create novel quantum algorithms that can revolutionize their industries. As the quantum revolution evolves, Classiq is uniquely positioned to lead this emerging market in the years to come. 

The opportunity: 

Classiq is seeking a VP of Marketing with an exceptional track record of leading company positioning and strategy focused on software products in emerging fields, in various industries (finance, automotive, pharma, chemistry, energy, etc.). 

He/ She will be the first marketing hire and a crucial member of the executive leadership team working alongside the CEO and the business development team. 

This hands-on leadership role will create, shape, and be responsible for all aspects of Classiq’s marketing – branding, marketing positioning, demand/lead creation, product marketing, content creation, creative/multimedia/digital, and events. Success will be measured by the success of the pipeline and engagement with key audiences.

This is a unique opportunity to be the first marketing hire and shape the positioning of a leading team in an exponentially emerging market. 

  • Oversee the planning, development, and execution of the Classiq marketing strategy 
  • Lead all aspects of Classiq’s marketing initiatives, including brand marketing and positioning, product marketing, industry relations, content marketing, demand generation, and communications (public relations, analyst relations) 
  • Build, maintain, and push the company brand, including messaging, tone, design, and public and industry relations to drive heightened awareness and support pipeline build
  • Partner with key industry associations to drive demand generation and brand visibility efforts. Working closely with sales to determine target audiences and engagement strategies
  • Serve as a critical member of the executive team and align at the corporate level on strategic priorities for growth.
  • Establish clear KPIs and processes for reporting on the effectiveness of marketing efforts with Board level accountability and own the marketing budget
  • Outline and champion initiatives spanning influencer marketing, partnerships, PR, content, and digital marketing.  
  • Develop, coach, and recruit a marketing team to create alignment, set priorities

VP Marketing Candidate Competencies: 

High-Growth Marketing Leadership: 

  • 10+ years experience leading marketing for a SaaS company. Proven success across all marketing disciplines, including brand marketing and positioning, product marketing, industry relations, content marketing, demand generation, and communications (public relations, analyst relations). 

Brand and Content Experience 

  • Experience developing a brand strategy and defining a brand voice  
  • Clear, effective communicator, who produces high-quality content for customers such as blogs, case studies, videos, webinars, whitepapers, etc. 
  • Strong analyst relationships and a track record of building industry/influencer relationships
  • Experience accelerating momentum of strong product-market fit to become an innovator and category leader

Demand Generation 

  • Assure that marketing spend is allocated to trackable programs.  
  • Ensure that the working pipeline can support the company’s revenue plan 
  • Develop engaging content aligned with the sales cycle 

Community building

  • Experience building and working with software developers and engineers to drive engagement and adoption of the product

High-Performance Leadership 

  • A hands-on marketing leader with a track record of hiring, developing and retaining top-performing marketing teams.  
  • An agile leader with a history of leading and inspiring teams through continued change, as well as engaging with top stakeholders and executive counterparts 
  • Proven success driving execution and accountability through marketing teams
