Popai Health is a fast-growing health tech startup transforming the way care teams engage with patients. We build AI tools that analyze phone conversations between care managers and patients, surfacing insights, automating documentation, and helping close care gaps – so teams can focus on what matters most: delivering better care

What you’ll do:

• Take ownership of technical strategy and execution, ensuring robust, scalable architecture for AI-driven healthcare solutions.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex systems, balancing high-quality engineering standards with fast-paced startup delivery, while proactively managing technical debts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, customer success and data science teams to align technology with business goals and customer needs.
• Champion best-in-class production standards, including code quality, thorough testing, and efficient deployment processes.
• Serve as a technical mentor to peers by reviewing code, sharing knowledge, and elevating engineering craftsmanship across the team.
• Deliver secure, compliant systems and best-practice AWS architectures that maximize scalability and reliability
• Be an integral part of our founding team

Requirements:

What we’re looking for:

• 7+ years of proven hands-on production-grade development experience.
• Deep expertise with scalable infrastructure and cloud providers (AWS preferred).
• Customer-centric mindset with a strong commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs
• Experience with large-scale SaaS production services, databases, and Big Data.
• Experience implementing and managing DevOps practices and CI/CD architecture.
• Strong technical craft mastery and engineering discipline.

Bonus:

• Strong understanding of data engineering, data pipelines, and MLOps
• Experience building products that revolve around data ingest and analytics.
